🦙This book works really well – there is a thick piece of clear plastic that you put on top of the page and work on. We used some bulldog clips to hold the plastic in place🦙Great range of designs and it makes designs really easy to make and build🦙Lots of fun. We’ve done the llama/ alpaca and looking forward to to making more🦙The finished design comes of the plastic with a little gentle encouragement and bending the plastic sheet slightly – definitely reusable

This useful little book arrives in a easy to recycle plastic bag. As well as the book you also get 2 silicone finger tip guards plus a transparent plastic protective sheet. Annoyingly the guards have small holes in them, which could lead to your little ones pinkies getting burnt.The holes also mean these are useless for other tasks like painting. Though, while silicone is a material that can be recycled, most UK councils won’t accept it in recycling bins. Which unfortunately means these could up end as waste.Though you won’t want to recycle the book, that’s because (when used with the plastic sheet) it’s really useful. With 40 easy to use designs, complete with good instructions, you’ll quickly and easily be 3D “printing” within minutes. A process helped by the designs being a mix of really easy builds up to more detailed models.The book also shows you how to join the parts together to form a 3d shape. Another positive is the plastic sheet is nicely durable and can easily handle the high temperatures that 3d pens use. You can also use the sheet with full sized 3d printers.Obviously a 3d pen (not included) won’t give the same quality as a dedicated filament printer. But this book is a great introduction to how 3d printing works and not only for kids. Indeed I found it to be especially useful for explaining the technology and processes to adults.Another nice thing is many of the designs don’t use a lot of filament (also not included with this book).Which is a good idea as many pen starter sets don’t include that much filament. Overall ? Yes it’s a bit pricey, but it’s a great idea when someone is first starting out.

This is fantastic to get the creativity flowing for youngsters just starting out with a 3d pen. My grandson spent hours learning from it and creating images. The book has instructions on how to fit the pieces you create together to get the final product. It has 40 patterns that offer hands on creating with a plastic sheet you lay over top of the design so they can copy the design beneath. It also has items for Christmas and other occasions so it’s great for year round inspiration. The best part is that it is reusable so the designs can be made multiple times.

This is a cute 3D stencil book. It comes with some clear plastic that you are supposed to put on the page that you want to trace so it can pop off and not melt into the paper. So far, the ones my daughter has tried have turned out good, so it seems like a helpful and accurate book.

This is such a simple, and such a great idea, especially if you are new to 3D pens. It comes with a plastic sheet that you place on a page, you trace a 2D image, then fit those images together into a 3D item. While totally simple, it gets your brain thinking about the capabilities of this pen. Obviously, better for younger beginners. Very simple designs, great idea. Also comes with two silicone finger protectors.
