Jeana –
Just what I was looking for!

MICHAEL R MYERS –
While this is a usb 3.1 drive, the write speed is only hitting the advertised 30 value which is slow when you are writing gigs of data to it. For smaller transfers it’s probably a bit faster, but I copy 50-100 GBs of movies to mine regularly to watch from my TV’s USB port. I just know that it’ll take a long time so I start the copy operation and just let it run while I do other things. The drive is reliable, both of my TVs can read it perfectly fine and the price point is good for this type of storage.

It’s the real deal and a great value. Highly recommend. Be careful of some of the “really cheap” ones. A lot of the time the don’t quite fit right (poor factory manufacturing controls—China) and often times you will have to reformat the drive from time to time. So many companies sell these and most of them have few reviews. Red flag. This one is made nicely and you don’t have to worry about any funny business with a shady seller.

It has tons of storage, I was able to put TONS of songs on it.I made my Dad a playlist for his truck, the only issue I ran into was that it wasn’t compatible with his truck. His takes a 2 and this is a 3But uploading and downloading off of it is super quick and easy

I had my doubts about a ‘store brand’ thumbdrive but it seems to be working well for me. It is fast enough for me to do command line processing directly to and from the drive so I am happy. I had to reformat it to NTFS to allow larger files and most efficient use on my particular operating system and it is doing magnificently. I do not hesitate to recommend this for a cheaper but reliable storage option.
