helpful review tool

Study guides come in a number of different formats – some online, some booklet/book form and even some in flashcards! This study guide is the flash card format. What I like about this format is the ‘deck’ can be shuffled/re-ordered so the questions do not all come up in the same order. For me, this makes for a more useful learning tool.The set (there are 300 cards!) comes in a sturdy box – a cube about 4.5 inches on every side. As you can see in the photo, the lid opens to show the cards. There is no pre-defined order/organization for the cards. Some may want to identify the questions into a category. A marker or self-sticking indicator could do that nicely with the cover still being able to close. Personally, I prefer to have the information ‘appearing’ in almost a pure random ordering.As is the flash card ‘format’ – you will find a question and multiple choice answers (usually) on one side with the answer and a brief citation for the answer on the other. This is an aid – not a total replacement for learning the information. When you have read/studied the material, the cards will give you feedback as to how well you understand the material for the questions that are being asked. Since the target audience for this set are those interested in getting an AWS Cloud Practitioner certification, the cards are far from general purpose but if you are doing that study, they will be valuable.The actual card stock the questions are printed on is substantial but not real thick. I would say that they are printed on material similar to a playing card. There is no coating to protect the cards from being worn in constant use but then they are not really expected to see as much shuffling and play as a playing card does.Bottom line – when you have finished the study time for a certification, it is handy to have a way to self assess how much of the study material you are retaining. This is a handy way to check what you do remember and where to review if your answer is different than what is printed on the card. It won’t replace study but it will solidify the information acquired from study.

Awesome study tool for the CPC exam

For anyone studying to take the AWS CPC exam, this is an excellent study tool! The flash cards and format of each card section was a great memory capture – was 100 consistent with the questions on PV exam and I’m 100 satisfied. A must if your preparing for this AWS cert

Almost perfect

Most of the five star reviews are pretty much spot on. I could only go four stars because there was a typo in the quiz section. Say for example, the options were:A: PieB: CakeC: ChipsD: CookiesThe answer on the back of the card was “A: Chips”

Good Content

the cards nicely touch the fundamental concepts of IT and AWS. Two specific categories that talk about these are general concepts and advanced concepts. you have to revise again and again. You can use online videos and these flashcards together to practice. The cards are small in size which makes it easy to take anywhere and study.

Great for enhancing your technical vocabulary at work!

These have been really helpful in explaining the terminology for Amazon Web Services. I got these to enhance my vocabulary at work and have already gleaned a lot from using these cards. They are organized well and have terminology or concept on front of card and the explanation on the back. I wish everything could be learned using flashcards! 🙂

Good quality study aid for the cloud practitioner exam

The media could not be loaded.

 I’m always looking for any advantage when studying for an exam. I came across these flashcards for the AWS Certified cloud practitioner and decided to give them a try.My initial reaction is around the quality of the storage box. As you can see it is a shiny finish and lets you know at a glance what’s inside. The box opens easily and has a satisfying close thatseems like a dampener system is in play.This is a heavy collection, but 300 flash cards adds up quickly. Basically, six decks of playing cards here.The cards themselves are rectangular and larger than a typical playing card. There is a selection of topics and formats on these flash cards. I can see value beyond the stated exam.Quality wise, they are on par with a playing or collectible card. I expect these to last well past when I pass the exam.I feel these are a good value for the money as a study aid and the box is going to look good on my bookshelf after I’m done studying.I am going to rate these five out of five starsPros- High quality storage box- Flash cards are of game card quality- Sufficient selection of topics to be useful for this and other examsCons- Heavy to travel with

Great tool for refreshing my knowledge

I have been working with AWS off and on for several years now. Unfortunately, even with hands on knowledge the services and terminology is frequently changing. These flashcards have been great for refreshing me to the current state of the technology. The cards themselves are well made with a nice print quality. I have used some other training tools in the past which were thrown together, but that is not this. It is very comprehensive and covers all of the fundamentals.
