One of the most complete “AWS Guide” in the market!
This is a guide for the ages. We build mobile apps and platforms, and AWS is an everyday occurrence. From the business side of things, AWS has always been a hosting alternative we recommend to clients. This book has made me realize how much of a “Beast” the AWS architecture is. I now have this newfound appreciation for Amazon and Mr. Bezos. Discovered a whole world of golden nuggets that I am excited to share with my team. This is “The AWS Guide.” Keep it with you. Cloud computing became an issue as I set up in the public cloud
I do not want to set up a private cloud. I use public cloud computing, but in setting up my service, I found that I had no idea what some of the service’s questions meant. When I found this book, I held my breath and started reading. I don’t need to know all knowledge contained here, and I was able to find what I needed. I read more that just what I need because Singh gives clear explanations all through the book. He as whole sections on how operations and storage work. I looked some of this up elsewhere, and he is on the money about this. I read one of the reviews that this book needs editing. Don’t let that put you off. There is a very savvy section on costs, plus other chapters on how to set up your own private cloud, or a commercial cloud. This is a reference book, and I found it valuable. I probably haven’t explained about this book very well, because this is not my area, but it helped me understand what I am buying when I subscribe to a cloud computing service.

This books is filled with very helpful info for anyone who needs or wants to understand AWS in depth. As far as content, it is great.The lower rating is due to editing. The book needs to be professionally edited for strong readability.

Inconsitant narrative. Typos throughout.
I tried to read the first 50 pages of it. However, it was hard to digest the material when constantly dealing with typos and what looks like language translation issues. I eventually gave up frustrated.

Good content but needs lots of editing
I’ve read about 30% of the Kindle version thus far. Like the content, but the editing is very lacking. Pretty much all chapters are full of grammatical and other mistakes that should have been caught during review and editing. Entire sections are repeated nearly verbatim (for example) in many cases.

Enormous amount of info
AWS ultimate guide is a huge collection of knowledge and information about using the platform. I’m no expert and just a beginner to this field, so I can’t vouch for the accuracy of the information in this book, and can’t say I read every word here. I think people will probably use this more as a reference text and as such I give this a high rating.

Good reference book too
Overall this is a fantastic resource that provides all the necessary details on AWS. The portions on DynamoDB, Lambda, and CloudFormation are excellent, and this book also covers some of the key exam topics. I heartily endorse this book. It’s really neatly arranged, and there’s just enough information to support the key ideas of the AWS.
