Quiets Down My Neighbors’ Dogs

I bought a $130 ultrasonic device to get my neighbors’ dogs to stop barking which wasn’t very effective. Then I bought this bluetooth speaker, and it gets my neighbors’ dogs to stop barking most of the time when I play a dog whistle on it. This was a huge relief, because I had been loosing sleep for about 15 months due to barking dogs before I thought of getting an outdoor speaker with internet connectivity like this one. Talking to my neighbors and animal control did not help unfortunately.Pros: the sound quality is great, you can turn up the volume loud, and there is some water resistance.Cons: if the device you’re connecting to the speaker isn’t within 5 feet and pointed at the speaker, the sound will cut out, especially after a few hours. Also, although this is an outdoor speaker, I have it wrapped in plastic wrap to limit the risk of electric shock…rain could get in through the speaker holes or charging port otherwise. I also leave this plugged in 24/7 because I don’t feel like recharging it. So, I really have no idea what the battery life is like.Overall, this bluetooth speaker works perfectly for what I intended. You get what you pay for though-I imagine this device wouldn’t have enough bluetooth connectivity power, enough battery life, or enough water resistance to work as a long-range high-powered speaker for outdoor use. This WILL scare your neighbors’ barking dogs into submission though, which is an invaluable use for neighbors with little to no recourse otherwise.

Good

This is a great speaker for this price point. The reviews are correct, the sound quality on these are really good. It sounds full, and not at all “tinny” as some other lower quality speakers I’ve used have sounded. These have a heft to them that feels like they’d hold up well for a while. My only gripe if I had to pick something is there’s no light mode memory. If I turn the lights to a specific color, or off completely, it doesn’t remember that next time I use it. It defaults to color changing mode every time I turn it On. Not a huge deal at all, just an FYI. I definitely recommend these.

Love it !!

This product is literally amazing. The sound quality on it is great. I always used in the shower and it works great there to there seems to be no problems with water hitting it. The battery life is pretty good too and the good thing is that you can charge it while you use it. On top of that you don’t even need to worry about turning it off every single time you disconnect or walk out of the room because it automatically disconnects after a while, which helps preserve the battery life. I will say that it’s not the best for answering phone calls but that’s not why I got this because I got the speaker to be able to play music in my room and in the shower and for that purpose it’s amazing. The sound quality for $23 is definitely worth it!

Don’t expect a sonic miracle and you won’t be disappointed

I rated this device five stars because it’s “good enough” for the purpose for which I ordered it. There’s no bass or treble controls so it’s pretty basic to that end.Sound wise, it’s okay. I use it mostly with my Echo Auto, so I just need to hear Alexa’s responses to my questions or make hands free calls in my vintage VW .The Bluetooth connects to your phone. Very simple once you know how to do that.As for sound quality, to me, this harkens back to my grammar school years (1964 or so to maybe 1968) the days when a transistor radio was just fine for listening to a radio station. There is of course an improvement over that older technology but if you’re expecting to be blown away by something too incredible to be believed, well you’re setting the bar too high.Just the same, I listen to Amazon music (free plug) on it occasionally as my car sound system blows this away. But still I use it sometimes in the car.It has volume up/down buttons blah blah blah pretty basic, but it does what I want it to do.There’s a button to control which color light you prefer to have on or you can turn the light off with the fourth button press after cycling through the three other color options after the alternating colors default upon booting up.It turns off by itself after several minutes of not being in use which to me would be a star dinger (four stars instead of five, hence dinging a star: remember all things being relative….)Anyway, I would prefer it stayed on so if I say for example, “Alexa, how’s traffic on x street”. I won’t get a response I can’t hear from my phone’s internal speaker because the speaker turned itself off on me.I messaged the company weeks ago and still have not heard back from them regarding whether or not there is some way to override the default setting of turning itself off as I mentioned.I give this five stars in spite of everything because it does ‘almost’ suit my needs. It’s perfectly adequate, don’t expect to bring the party to life with this one, that’s all.It would be nice to hear from the company now to learn whether or not I can get it to stay on all the time. It is rechargeable and a cable is included for that. USB-C I think. You’ll figure it out easily enough regarding plugging it in to something get it to charge unless you are completely inexperienced with these matters (unlikely) or maybe someone who was just released from prison after having served a fifty year sentence or something, in which case the odds are slim there’s absolutely no one to instruct you in these matters. If such is the case, good luck. Just follow the instructions.

Really good sound

I purchase because I found it was a really good price and I wanted a speaker I could use around my house when doing chores so I didn’t want to spend top dollar for one. I was very surprised at the quiality of sound. It sound really good and connected to my phone easily. I would recomend it.

they shouldn’t work like that.

my crew went above and beyond, so I wanted to get them a kind of thank you gift as they were all young young, active and end of music. I thought this would be a good idea. Their reasonably small and you could almost fit them in your pocket and they work anywhere. The biggest thing is the sound though. These are absolutely excellent, no small speaker should sound that good. they carried them around with them and use them at home or on the job. I also have doing insert that they have really good high volume.😬 they all loved them. Of course I would highly recommend them.

excellent

Very good speaker, my Bose speaker did not work after months, I looked at the comments to buy an inexpensive speaker for the moment.and I am very surprised by its volume, I use it at work and it works well for me. Now I have to observe the lifespan of this speaker.
