    Better than expected

Assembly was a little difficult, but once I had it together I used it for the first time and it worked far better than I expected it to. The handle feels a little wobbly, but it held up just fine when I used it. I’m very happy with it.

    Very convenient and easy-to-use!

I found the breathing mobile washer extremely convenient when only needing to wash a small load and in order to keep the laundry down to a minimum. Very easy to use. I can keep my laundry from piling up.

    Works

It is worth the small investment. It cleans my clothes, removes dirt and odor. Great for camping or being off grid. Handle is a little flimsy so use it accordingly. You do not need to be forceful.

Difficult to put together, cheaply made

This does not seem worth the price. It was difficult to put together and seems really cheaply made. It is not something that can be taken apart and stored. Once it’s together it’s ridiculously hard to get it apart. Unless you plan on keeping it in one piece forever, do not buy it. Love the concept but unfortunately the quality is not there.

    Good for personal items.

Cannot wash sheets or lots of other garment with this. I went on and invested in a apartment washing machine. Other then that only good for light weight clothes. Blankets, sheets, quilts, no. Unless you are Samson, these items to heavy to wring out for one person.

The mobile washer is a game changer and it works!

Love this product. It’s lightweight, easy to use and it cleans 2-3 pieces at a time. It’s great and will keep me in clean clothing until I can get my washing machine repaired. This mobile washer is a great item!

    It works

An excellent off-the-grid device. We’ve used it for several months now, and it’s holding up fine. You have to tighten the handle frequently, but that’s not a major problem. The plastic cone itself is very durable.

One part is missing!! Replacement option. Excellent customer service! 5 STARS!!

Update: I am very impressed for the customer service! They gave me the option to replace my defective mobile. 5 STARS!As I opened the box and started to assemble it, I noticed I couldn’t add the extension because the secure metal hoop (I don’t know how to call it) is missing! I fear I’d start using it that way and the other part would fall.

    It works!

I don’t like washing my “unmentionable” articles in our community washers, so i got this and a 5 gallon bucket from Walmart. A dash of detergent and 5 minutes later you have clean clothes! I just use a drying rack in the tub to dry them. Done!

    Great buy.

Cleans SO well and is lightweight. Perfect for handwashing clothes in the tub or sink when we don’t have time to run to the laundry mat. We also dont have a lot of space in our home so i love how compact this washer is!

    I like it but…

I really like this product. It’s easy to use and almost kind of fun. I like that it allows me to wash clothes at home, it’s also pretty compact and can come apart easily for storage. However, I noticed some small, stringy, plastic pieces coming off off of the mobile washer right out of the box. I wish the construction of the plastic washer piece was a bit higher quality. Also, it’s hard to put the handle together. Luckily I had a different handle that I was able to use. Other than that, I really liked the product.

Well made and gets the job done!

I set this up immediately and put it to work in my bathtub with a 5 gallon bucket. It gets the clothes clean, it is lightweight, sturdy and easy to use. It was easy to put together and by following the instructions pictured on the box I was able to get going on my laundry in no time. One does not need to use very much detergent or water at all. I couldn’t ask for more. What a great solution to doing some laundry at home. I combined this with a panda spin dryer and I am over the moon. I’m saving money and time at the laundromat and I’m not putting myself in so much contact with Covid. It’s a win-win for small households, apartment or RV living, probably great for cloth diapers.

    A Must For Every Household!

This is by far the best mobile washer I’ve used. I had the original with the wooden handle and I have to say I’m a fan of both, but will continue to purchase this version for friends and family. I have an issue with my wrists and this is comfortable and simple to use, which is very important to me. You’d be shocked to see the amount of dirt the washer pulls out from clothing that has been newly washed in the washer (and we have a pretty decent washing machine). Great for people who are looking to go off grid, reduce their carbon footprint, save on electricity and water, or may not have access to a washing machine. This is a necessity for every household! I will update with a video showing how to use it, and the effectiveness of the washer.

This is a great mobile washer.

I love this mobile wash. It is much easier to use than a scrub board. My clothes are more cleaner than when I use a washing machine. I also use lesser water and electricity. Another benefit of this washer is that I also get a workout. I exercise the core part of my body and clean my clothes at the same time. I pump my clothes using the mobile washer 100 times and than let my clothes soak. I then go back and pump my clothes 100 times again. It usually takes me 20 minutes to wash my clothes. The time goes by really fast. I also purchased a second mobile washer to save for later.

    Meh

For $20 it didn’t seem like too much of a risk to try it out, and I was hoping for a good workout when using it. I liked that it could be disassembled and stored in a bag, however upon trying to take it apart, it proved to be too difficult to do repeatedly. It works as advertised, and does get items very clean, so I think it would be very useful for cleaning really big items in a tub that would be awkward or too big for a washing machine. However, it wasn’t for me. I used it for about a month to do my laundry, about every two days or so, and decided it was too much of a hassle for me and not worth the time or effort.

    Inexpensive and effective hand washer

This manual washer is definitely effective. I still do washing machines about two times a month, but in between for small loads of socks, underwear, a few T-shirts or kitchen towels it’s very good. To wash the clothes I got a SAMMART 57L (15 Gallons) collapsible/portable wash tub. They are perfect together. I can see using them on camping trips where a creek or tap water is available. The only down side for me is ringing water out of the clothes which, unless hung out in the sun, take 24hrs+ to dry inside.

    It’s fun to use!

This works great for smaller items of clothing and is fun to use, to boot! Actually, it works good for larger items also, it’s just too much work to wring water out of them. But socks and underwear, t-shirts and shorts are all easy to clean using this, and easy to wring out and hang dry. If you’re not in a hurry you can do larger items and just let them drip dry, but I find it a bit of a bother. Great to have when you just want to clean a few items and don’t want to do a whole load, or when the power goes out, or for camping, etc.

    Makes hand washing a breeze

There is really nothing else like this. I bought one years ago from their website that had a wooden handle, and I think I might buy a broomstick handle to replace the metal one that came with this. I found the metal pieces difficult to assemble and there’s no way I could ever take them apart again. They are also less sturdy than a piece of wood. That said, I love this thing. All you need is a 5-gallon bucket and your hand washing will be easy. It really works for all fabrics and weights of cloth.

My work pants came out clean.

After I got everything out of the box and out of the plastic bags, I looked at the picture and put everything together. I liked the idea that you can vary the length of the washer handle for standing or sitting down. The handle is a little small and short for a man’s hand, but is great for one hand use. The unit is light and the dirt came out of the clothes in less than a couple of minutes and it was so easy I used the washer for 2 more minutes. Hung the clothes on the ‘solar dryer’ and used a hose to rinse them. It is so hot here that when I went to check on them, everything was dry. This is great for when you get something so dirty you do not want to wash it with the regular laundry. Much better and quicker than my old scrub board.

It’s not perfect, but I am in love with it because it works so well!

I washed nearly all of our laundry with it, the exception being heavy blankets. It did the job I needed, and it did it so much better than an actual washing machine!I have used it for an entire year, until it broke half an hour ago during a load. The handle snapped at the base where it screws into the washer part. I’m so bummed. Was it perfect? No.Did it come unscrewed during regular use? Yes.Did I have to wash smaller loads with it? Yes— but that made it easier to wash the clothes, and it put less stress on the tool.It was wet work because I didn’t have a lid on the 5-gallon bucket in which I washed the laundry. It was muscle building for me, but would have been less so had I made the loads even smaller. It was worth it to me because I’m not a senior who hasn’t quite the strength I have in middle age, and it made my clothes MUCH CLEANER than any washing machine I ever used.I am mourning its demise, and planning to replace it as soon as I am able (vet bills took my current month’s funds!). This tool is worth every penny, even if I have to baby it to make sure it lasts longer.”

    Works well

Perfect for rustic living in the mountains. Got a bucket, clothesline and this manual washer, and have been using it for three months now. Works very well, clothes are clean, and is easier than hand washing each item. I’m very satisfied and happy not to have to drive an hour into town just to do laundry!

    Really easy to use, effective

This is a pretty solid piece of laundry equipment. It’s not *industrial* strength, and isn’t the sort of thing that will stand up to years of abuse, but it probably will stand up to years of careful use. The pole and the handle are pretty sturdy, but make sure you tighten the screw attachments regularly or it will be wobbly and prone to break.

    Better than my washing machine

Easy to put together and use. Breaks apart for small space storage. Feels sturdy. Got my clothes cleaner in my bathtub than what a washing machine does in half the time and with actually pretty minimal effort as well. Could be great for camping, might be helpful for washing things that are hand wash only and perfect for if you have an unreliable washing machine like I do. Highly recommend.

Depends on age/muscles of how well it works?

I have only used it once when washing clothes in the bathtub. It doesn’t suction as good as a commode plunger does thus seemed like a waste of effort since the clothes where really dirty. I used both though since it might have helped with beating out some dirt and help in rinsing them.Due to age I may not have the muscles needed to make it work good so read other posts to decide.

    Great for auto detail rags

Easy to use and appears to be durable. I recommend holding it lower on the metal extension to prevent the handle flexing as much which might cause premature cracking or wear. I use a 5 gallon bucket to wash auto detailing rags. I fill the bucket roughly half way with rags. You could also use a tub which would likely be more effective.

    A handwasher’s dream gadget

This washer is easy to use. Sturdy. You can’t use it to stir items you are washing, it might break. I have used it several times. A must for at home washing. I do recommend if you are washing in a bucket to buy a wide one. This barely fits in a home depot type bucket but it can still be used, you can’t move it around too much.

Easy to use and built well

Even if the plastic may be weaker than the metal devices sold at many supply stores, these won’t rust and the handle is more comfortable and durable than the wood and steel varieties. It does it’s task and cleans and rinses the clothing quite well, which is perfect for and washables, to insure they lsst as long as possible.

    Pleasantly surprised

This item was purchased for washing masks. We did not want to put them in the washing machine since most times hand washing is recommended. I couldn’t imagine how the washer would work because it didn’t seem flexible at all. To my surprise it actually does work and it does not require a lot of muscle. I have problems with my hand so this is a great alternative..

good washing alternative for sand volleyball clothes

I was tired of my roommate getting sand all over the insides of the clothes washer after playing beach volleyball. this was a great alternative to washing out all the sand from her clothes and sand socks by agitating all the dirt/sand in a 5 gallon bucket. this sure beats periodically taking off the drain hose from the washer to clear out all the sediment that was collecting in there.

    Reliable and great value

My laundromat closed down for two months during the pandemic, and I started doing my laundry in a bucket in my bathtub. I saw the tool people used in medieval times to agitate the wash, and this was the closest I found to it on Amazon. My laundry is coming out much cleaner now that I have this washer, and I’m saving TONS of money in washing. Great product!

    Squish the clothes.

Don’t push hard. Use lots of water. Maybe don’t do jeans.I washed all my cotton dresses yesterday in the bath tub. I used a lot of water and just pushed down on the clothes for a while all around the tub. I didn’t try to agitate or swirl. I was doing a deep soak, so I left them a couple hours with all, borax, and oxyclean. Every half hour I’d go push on them. They came out super clean. Next time I’ll just do it for like 10 minutes.

Works great for doing laundry. I have been using every other day to do laundry for months now and it has held up really well. I have to wash some pretty heavy things and it stood up to the challenge. I do have to tighten the plunger head every now and them as it comes loose, but it tightens up great. Pandemic Life Saver

Got this at the start of the Pandemic, and its been a life saver. Live in an apartment, tons of people not giving a damn about precaution, using the Laundry room seemed really unsafe hygienically. So I have done all my minimal laundry at home for almost a year now thanks to this thing. Have been careful with it and so far its held up great. Just get a proper shaped bucket for it and you’re good to go.

    This thing works surprisingly well

This thing works great! I bought two 11 gallon round trash cans for washing and rinsing. I add about 5 gallons of water to each can. I can wash queen size sheets, towels, large sweatshirts, and other bulky items with ease. I put a few very dirty cleaning towels in my laundry, and this device got those very clean. It also does not take a crazy amount of effort to move the plunger up and down. If does seem difficult, do smaller loads of clothes.

    Works great!

I do have to tighten the washer head several times. It’s a bit more time consuming doing it yourself, but this method often gets clothes and bulky items cleaner and rinsed more thoroughly than in the wash. I use a large plastic storage tub placed in the bathtub. Soak, agitate, repeat. I squeeze out laundry and let my washer do the drain/spin, take it back to refill with rinse water, and repeat. My HE top loader isn’t the most efficient, I don’t care what it claims about not needing much water and that bagitation with soapy clothes works well – no. I have to use minimal amounts of laundry. To get a high enough water level for bulky items – sheets, more than two towels, blankets – the agitation is far too slow and just sort of stirs them around a bit. For now, this hand washer forces detergent and rinse water through better than the machine. Maybe one day when I can afford my dream Speed Queen, I’ll use the washing machine more, but this is great to have now. And for small loads, power outrages, camping – I would think superb!

    Works great! Pleasantly surprised

I was skeptical. I didn’t see what all the fuss could possibly be about with these. Now I know. Our water lines broke in the Texas ice storm of February 2021. No plumbing supplies. Plumbers are booked. We didn’t have power forever. Well I was hand washing clothes (washaterias were either all closed or were shut down due to damages, broken pipes, lack of water, or no electric) so I’m literally hand washing what I can because I cannot stand for clothes to sit dirty. I can go maybe one day before I just have to wash the dirty clothes. I can’t stand it. I looked at the hand crank washers. And the teeny washers. But I wanted something simple I could use for now, could use maybe if we go camping, or for something incredibly nasty that I don’t want to put in my washing machine. I found this and decided I would give it a try. I like that you can disassemble it (with ease) and store it in a bag. It agitates the clothes with little force. I’m not bending over the sink, the tub, or the washtub I got. It’s easy! I can wash a small load in no time, without even breaking a sweat. I really am shocked at how easy it was. It’s so simple I truly thought it wouldn’t Work. I am so glad I got this. It made it so much easier. It was delivered in 2 days, and is just super really convenient to have. One of my weirdest yet best purchases. Love it.

Good alternative for a non-HE top-loader agitator washing machine

Note: If you have a front-loader impeller-based washing machine available, this mobile washer might not save water. But it will save on electricity.I have a non-High Efficiency top-loader agitator-based washing machine, so this tool is useful for conserving water and electricity when I wash clothes on a daily basis.Immediately after returning home, I shower and wash the clothes I wore.To prevent potential damage to the tub, shower, or flat surface of choice, I lay a microfiber cloth on the surface then put a 5-gallon bucket (around $3.25 at a home improvement store and another $1.50 for the lid) on top of that. Water goes into the bucket while I wait for the water to become hot, which usually takes 2 gallons. Add one tablespoon of laundry detergent into the bucket, swirl it around a bit, then toss in the clothes and cover it with the lid. I let it soak for 15-30 minutes.Shower should be long over by the time I return to the bucket and remove the lid. I get as close as I can to the bucket to operate the mobile washer as vertically as possible, otherwise I put strain on my back and on the mobile washer. Force the mobile washer up and down 30 times each direction. To rinse, empty the bucket of dirty detergent water and fill with 2 gallons of clean water. Agitate with the mobile washer, then repeat once more or until the water is clear. Rinsing will use the most water out of the entire washing process. An alternative to using the mobile washer to rinse: use the washing machine’s rinse cycle. Added bonus is it’ll follow it with a spin cycle so the clothes will dry fast, even when air-drying.Squeeze water from the clothes and dry, using preferred or available method.

Breathing Mobile Washer – 4.5 stars, half a star off for opened box (masking tape seal was already broken upon receiving) and just ‘ok’ instructions. This, a 5 gallon restaurant grade salad spinner, and a 3.5 cf Kenmore mini dryer I got used has my laundry SET for $250 total. As you can see from the clawfoot tub in the pics/video, I live in an old building. Complete with scary and expensive laundry facilities that are always packed. Add to this the difficulty in finding US quarters to do laundry with.Gets A LOT of dirt out of clothes and is fairly gentile on them. I have a thick tub mat that helps squish laundry and keeps the tub scratch free. In the video Im using my less dominant left hand to use the Breathing Mobile Washer and it’s still doing a great job getting stuff out.Tips & tricks: Let your laundry soak for 5 minutes in water and detergent / additives before starting. This helps loosen up stains before you start, making the labor process shorter. Use as directed for 4 minutes or so, then let it all soak again for 10 minutes. Come back, agitate again for 2 minutes, then drain, rinse, spin dry or wring, then place into dryer or onto clothes line.If you’re not hearing the breathing noise you hear in the video, and the water line is above the top of the Breathing Mobile Washer, let water out of your tub/container until the waterline is 2-3 inches below the bottom of the smaller cone of the breathing washer. Too much water doesn’t allow air to go through.Happy laundry day y’all!**UPDATE AFTER 2 WEEKS OF USE**After refining my methods for washing with this thing, I’m really able to get a lot of dirt out of my clothes. After doing my last load of laundry in a washer at my old apartment, I brought it over to the new place and had some shirts folded up from that wash. Curious if the conventional washer left dirt in those few shirts in my dresser, I put them in the tub and used a little laundry soap with the Breathing Mobile Washer. Yep! Some dirt did come out!! Not a lot, but it does show that conventional washers aren’t really perfect or much better than this thing. You do need to do a good job washing out the soap though. That’s one lesson I learned. Now I wash about 2 loads worth in my tub with 1 load worth of soap, use the Breathing Washer, then drain the tub. Fill it up again but not as much, add 1 load of soap in, use the Breathing Washer, drain the tub. Then I fill it up again but no soap, use the Mobile Washer to agitate the remaining dirt/soap out of the clothes, then drain. As it drains I spread the clothes out over the bottom of the tub and use the handheld spray head to rinse the last last remaining soap off. Then wring and put in the 3.5cf dryer I have. Wring the clothes out that are waiting to be dried and hang them up to drip dry some more inside/over/whatever your tub….that’ll cut down drying time for those loads in your dryer if you have an electric dryer.Hope that helped! I’m sure there are many methods out there to do this and I’m looking to cut down on the water consumption here, even though it’s about equivalent to what a washing machine would use in 2 loads or so.

My hands were beginning to ache from washing by hand

I go to the gym and I need to wash everyday I workout. Great help, less achy hands. I needed a small washing machine, this was the perfect one.

    Hand washing

I use this on my husband jujitsu clothes while they are soaking in a large tub. Gets his clothes nice and clean.

    it does the job

It’s exactly what it looks like and does what it says it will do. However, it’s very tiring to use (maybe just as tiring as hand washing, though probably faster and easier on your knuckles), especially if you are short. I have to stand on the lip of my bathtub to use it and take a break before coming back to ring everything out. It hasn’t broken, but with the amount of pressure you put on the plastic plunger and handle (which doesn’t feel incredibly durable), I wouldn’t be too shocked if it did one day. If you are in shape, tall and careful, you’ll like this.

    Maximum clean, minimum effort

When the washer was on the fritz I bought this light but sturdy plunger to use with a wringer mop bucket to wash clothes. I was surprised at how much movement and flow some easy pushes generated in the bucket. My clothes came out very clean. Of course, it’s more work than an automatic washer, since you have to fill and dump the bucket multiple times as well as wring and hang the clothes, and I have since replaced the washer. However, it’s good to know that this manual clothes plunger works well should I ever need it again.

Cost effective and pretty easy to use!

This thing is amazing. I hate doing laundry and would endorse anyone who comes up with a line of disposable paper clothing! Until such time though, doing my laundry in small batches every other day to make it manageable is what I do. I live in a small apt and have no space for proper washer. This plunger thingy actually makes doing laundry fun! I soak my clothes in a bucket with detergent before I go to bed and then plunge the bejeezus outa them when I wake up. Takes very little time, almost no effort and is actually very effective at cleaning the clothes. I really like it.

This is it! Everyhting you’re looking for and more.

This product is A-MAZE-ING! the compact design is SO much easier to store than any other model I’ve tried. I will definitely be ordering one for my RV and cabin as well as sending them to all my friends. The handle is extremely durable and things get SO clean. I didn’t realize how much soap is left on my clothes from my washing machine, until I started using this to strip clothes in the tub. The water was DISGUSTING after this pulled so much out of clothes I *thought* were clean.Long story short, THIS is the mobile washer you’ve been looking for. I can’t recommend it enough.Bonus points that it is coming from a small business owner in the USA!

    Came with broken handle

This works great! I am very pleased with it, however, the handle was already broken when I opened the box. I tried it out anyways and felt very flimsy. Even with the broken handle I can see it does a good job though. This is the only reason for the 4 stars. Would like a replacement for it.

    Very annoying.

So yes it DOES wash my clothes BUT it just makes my wanna fork over money to go do laundry instead of attempting it to do it here at home. I put it together and started using it on a small load. This thing kept coming apart because I guess every time I pushed it down it somehow was unscrewing itself? I thought it was just because I didn’t tighten it enough so I asked my husband to tighten this for me and I continued to have the same issue. So I could have a defective item? Or it’s just something nobody seems to care about enough to talk about. It took me almost 2 hours (wash and rinse) to get my small load done because of this issue.

Not as good as I had hoped.

I bought this for home to cut back on trips to the laundromat. It is hard on the back. The adjustable length is a plus. But even at it’s longest, you will still have to lean way over unless you can put your container on something sturdy to raise it up. I didn’t find that the clothes got any cleaner than washing by hand even after 20 min. of plunging ( not continuous). It is ok if you are camping and just need to freshen up your clothes. Sheets are almost impossible even 1 at a time. Socks and underwear clean the best and you can do a lot of it at once. I don’t regret buying it but wish it cleaned better and was easier on my back.

Great item to have for a minimalist. Great for camping too!!

Very easy to use and does the job well!! Goes up and down with ease. *A Very Important thing to remember is that there needs to be enough water in the tub/bucket you are using and if you overload your clothing to where this handheld washer has no room to smoothly go up and down or easily go to the bottom of your container, you will have a difficult time and possibly break the handle.. I actually just purchased two “Your Zone” 17 gallon plastic round tubs with rope handles from Wmart for $4.98 each and they are perfect. Also keep in mind you will have to wring your clothes out manually unless you have a spin machine or a dedicated heavier mop wringer with the handle bar.. But I thoroughly enjoy it!

Delighted with the ease of use

To limit the amount of time and money spent in my building’s laundry room, I regularly wash/spin clothes on small portable equipment in my apartment.Although I often utilize a Lavario Non-Electric Washer, some items simply will not fit into its basket. By filling the Lavario’s outer tub completely and using this “breather” to agitate instead, however, I can easily wash a lightweight Queen-sized blanket or quilt. The agitation is SUPER easy; and I feel the item is thoroughly clean afterward. In fact, it probably could be used in my bathtub, to effectively clean even larger items (like a comforter). Unfortunately, such large items are beyond the capacity of my spin dryer.

    Just what I needed.

I knit, so I have many fine woolens that need TLC. I also use for lingerie and items I don’t want to shrink in the machine washing and drying process.I have a basin I use for a few items, or can use entire tub. My washing machine has a drain & spin cycle I use when there’s a lot to wring out.I immerse items in water add A LITTLE SOAP. I use the tool for a few plunges to be sure soap is mixed in and all items are wet. I let soak for at least 5 minutes before agitating for a minute or 2, then rinse. I love the convenience.

    Not Sturdy

The physics of the design seems ok for washing clothes. However, the actual construction seems cheap and flimsy. This isn’t just a “feel” thing, the threaded joints (between the metal bar and the plastic head/handle are an obvious point of weakness. Just screwing it in for the first time, I could feel (and after taking it apart, see) some of the plastic stripping away. Aside from being soft, they appear to be molded in to the plastic (instead of machined) and not shaped entirely in spec with the screw threads. Moreover, the threaded sockets on the plastic pieces only have *maybe* 1/3 inch of relatively soft plastic surrounding the threads.I would bet that this will fail after a handful of uses, either by ripping the threads out, or by breaking through the socket’s circumference. Time will tell, and I will update this review if ends up surprisingly long-lasting, or when it breaks.

    Works great

Works as advertised. After you get the hang of it, not a big deal to live without a machine. I sit large plastic buckets in my bathtub and wash clothes from there. Outside is great too if possible. YouTube has many how to videos which are helpful. I prefer this plunger over homemade versions. Surprising how well it cleans. I have learned you don’t need much detergent. In fact try it without detergent first attempt and you will probably get suds from left over residue from previous wash. Handle does want to work loose but not a big deal. I am most pleased with this product.
