Great starter board!
Great board for learning the ins and outs of programming an Arduino. Easy to use. Great as a starter board.At this point I only use it for testing. For making actual projects I go with a much smaller and compact board like the ESP32 or even a Raspi Pico W.My gripes with it is its limited memory, no built in WiFi and the use of a USB B port. But as a starter board this is pretty great and documentation can easily be found online, even through youtube tutorials. As for the gripes thats really only gripes for the more professional user. Memory issues wont really be a problem for a starter. You dont really need WiFi to start learning it or i think its preferable to not have WiFi so people can stick to learning just the basic stuff first. Once they feel they need to tackle WiFi they can either upgrade to a different PLC or buy the seperate WiFi hardware. But perhaps beginners should learn to walk before they can learn to fly meaning they shouldn’t tackle the wifi part before learning the basic stuff first. As for the USB B port. THat is old technology that really should only be used for printers and bigger hardware. Not something small like a PLC. The upside to it is that it makes the device stronger and less likely to break unlike usb micro and usb C which are easier to snap off during an accident.

Simhub Compatible.
Wanted to try a wind simulator on my sim rig but wanted to avoid having to pay the Arduino price so I looked for an alternative and settled on this. Was able to use this with a motor shield to get 2 fans running using the Simhub software. The USB cable that it comes with was way to short for my use case but other than that definitely a great Arduino alternative.

What the heck ELEGOO
I’m not reviewing the Elegoo Uno, but the company that supplied and shipped one to me.I’m not sure if the unit was OK or not because I didn’t use it. Elegoo sent me someone else’s cast-off!I received an opened and well used Elegoo Uno R3. Further more, the box it came in was covered in some kind if sticky substance like honey or jam!!To say I was annoyed is an understatement.I maybe wouldn’t have minded if Elegoo had included a note saying the Uno was used, but had been rigorously tested and was certified 100% OK – along with a 50% discount.But they seriously expected me to keep it!!?? …..It was returned same day.***** UPDATE ******I recently received an email from ELEGOO Customer Support.It was explained to me that ELEGOO does not ship directly to customers. All ELEGOO products are sent to Amazon warehouse ,and when an order is received, it is AMAZON who ships it out.SOoo….. I should have blamed AMAZON .I guess they have a policy to re-ship any and all returns? And I was the unlucky guy.Anyway….. ELEGOO was good enough to send me a complimentary UNO 3 board, which I thought was very good of them. Thanks ELEGOO.I’ve been using the board for a month now. It works great with no issues at all.

Compatible AF
I recommend these boards to people looking to getting into microcontroller programming. They have all the positives of using a legit arduino board for a cheaper cost. Its fantasticLegit only “issue” i have seen is the LED on pin 13 goes dim if you touch pin 13’s to ground with your finger it but my solution to that is the very advance technique of not touching it so no stars lost

Was able to upload some code onto this bad buy then hooked it to my e bike (jetson bolt) and it took the info letting me boost my bikes speed! Worked a second time for a friends bike as well so good product does the job!

100% Best bang for the buck.
I built a cnc machine using an arduino uno for the controller. I had nothing but problems trying to get machine to do same thing twice. Then found one of the pins gave up. Ordered this one. What a quality difference. Programmed this one, plugged it in, machine homed. It now does everything expected.
