Im trying to get my chunky 9 year old kitty to lose weight and the sizings on the app are very accurate and with all our work schedules we dont know who already fed him and we ended up double feeding him all the time and with the feeder doing the job it helps so much and notifys you when theres food blockage or if food is running out. Very nice product! Its worth your money

Decent esthetics, don’t look like an eyesore like many of the other brands. App setup is easy and allows me to divide his daily rations throughout the day so that food is available when he needs it. It have definitely stopped majority of the begging and stopped the frantic sprints to the to bowl when the food drops

Works great so far, and especially for value. Cat likes to and is very good at getting into things particularly when it comes to food and this feed has a locking lid which is great!! (But i did still place it in corner under a shelving unit to keep him from knocking it over, ect..) You can program each day with different meals, meal times, and portions. This is great so everyday does not have to be the same, it gives you more flexibility and control.

I already own a litter box so I know how to do the connecting process. First you need a 2.4 GHz WiFi system for them to connect to the internet. Second reading the instructions does help. For this item I have a cat so the food already fits. I noticed other people here in the review section saying their dog food does not fit. In the instruction book that some people consider fire stater it says the food must be 12mm diameter or smaller. So no dog food that looks like you could use in a slingshot to use as ammo. So far the unit is working. I did buy a deal unit previously for a friend with a cat who is over weight for a cat. Had the habit of gourging and then relocating the food in other parts of his place. He said it has helped a lot on that problem. Mine was starting to do the same thing so I got this to eliminate the same issue.

We have 5 of these. They work like a charm every feeding time. If we are running late getting home we don’t have a bunch of hungry pets at our feet or just the ease of them already being fed when we do get home on time. We can go out of town without worrying about who is going to feed them. We have four cats and one dog. I had to switch my dogs food to the little bites in his brand in order for it to come out correctly. One of the feeders are in the house but the other four are outside under our porch and have did great so far. As others have said, I’ve been having problems with the app not notifying me if the food storage is low. It will even say that the pet has been fed when there is no food in the container. So I always just double check and make sure they are filled up. There is probably something that could be done about it, I just haven’t took the time to reboot or reset anything or contact the company. It will definitely let you know when it’s time to change the desiccant pack, though. Get one, you’ll love it! It’s funny to hear my cat doing a burnout on the floor racing to the feeder when it’s dispenses.

Had a family trip this Christmas and was worried about how to provide care for my cat. Like food and water. We had never left our cat alone for three days. So I knew about the regular gravity feed kits but wasn’t to impressed. Found this gem and it was a wrap. I can go on and on about how it works but it’s a 10. Love my cat.

I bought this for a colony of about a dozen feral cats (all but a couple TNR’d) that live in the woods near my house. I set them up some beds and a big food bowl in a shed but raccoons and possums were stealing the food. (And I was tired if going out in the rain to fill the bowl.) So I got this feeder and set it up in the shed. So far, this has held up well. The raccoons and possums can only steal 1/2 cup at a time. The raccoons get pretty aggressive when the bowl is empty but they haven’t managed to get the lid off the new feeder. I’ve seen them tossing it around on the security camera but the feeder’s held up fine. I eventually attached it to the floor of the shed.I haven’t set up a schedule because feral cats are terrible at telling time. If it’s empty when I check the security camera, I hit “Extra feeding” on my phone and dump 1/2 cup in the bowl. It took the cats about 2 days to figure out that the noise means food. Sometimes I’ll see 3 or 4 of them sitting in a semi-circle around the bowl waiting for me to hit the button.I’ve run several brands of cat food thru it (whatever’s on sale in bulk) and it’s pretty consistent with the portion despite the different sizes and shapes of the kibble. I’ve never had it get stuck with food left in the hopper. It gets down to the last few pieces every time.It would be nice if it was easier to clean. You have to take out 4 screws to take the dispenser chamber off and really get in there with a brush to get the rotating part clean. If the chamber was a twist-lock and the rotating part came out easily, it’d be much better. My only other real complaint is the AAA batteries. They should be AA. There’s plenty of room, they hold twice the energy, and most stores charge the same amount for AAA and AA. There’s really no reason for the small batteries.

UPDATE**: still 5stars. Update is bc people are saying this has a bad wifi system. I set up a separate 2.4G network off my main 5G network, and it works perfectly fine. I get 2-3 wifi Bars on my phone from where the feeder is so I do have a good network connection. Only have about avg 700-800mbps wifi and a ton of other items in the home like security cameras and smart plugs with multiple roommates also tech heavy, so the issue is definitely not with the feeder (unless they got a defective one idk). I did have my power go out once but due to the battery backup the feeder still dispensed food on time and reconnected to the wifi when the power came back on without me having to do anything. Also read someone said the app didn’t work with an iPhone. I have a newer iPhone and the app was super easy, as if I was downloading any other app (Instagram, etc.). Updating bc I don’t want people to overlook this feeder bc of a few reviews that don’t always apply. So this feeder only had 8 reviews when I ordered it which is way low for my usual trust with a new brand. however, MY CATS LOVE THIS FEEDER. They weren’t intimidated by the size or layout. Very intuitive for my cats to use. Love that it’s also a plain clean look with the app (so far so good) and doesn’t have those tacky looking buttons on most automatic feeders. Extremely clean design which was a big factor in buying. The lid That seals is also nice. I picked up the feeder and turned it sideways just to see if it would spill, and it stayed secure with the latch they used. The installation was incredibly easy and straight forward. I expected it to be more intense. My cats use purina one kitten food mixed with purina one probiotic health adult food, and the dispenser has done very well with portion size mixed. Will update this if anything changes. The App really impressed me with how it logged my cats’ weights and age etc to help with portion control. I needed this bc I wasn’t sure how much to give my kitties after them being on an open bowl meal (but got too chunky hence the feeder & I am a student and not always home etc).Only Pros at this Point. I got the stainless steel option and highly recommend that bowl as opposed to the plastic. Your cat will appreciate it and it’s a lot easier to clean. The Green Color is exactly how the picture looks. Have already gotten compliments on it from my roommates. If I end up buying another automatic feeder (for both cats versus them just sharing this one), I will buy this brand and exact model again. Honestly one of my favorite Amazon purchases of all time.

The media could not be loaded. This made everything so much easier! You don’t have to measure anymore; just set the serving size in the app. This is so helpful when your pet is still small and cat eat a full can/scoop of food just yet. Just be sure to double check and measure it yourself as well. It gave my cat more that it was supposed to for 2/3 cup measurement and I had to break it down into multiple smaller portions to get it to be the right amount of foodDon’t have to wake up super early; if I want to sleep in I don’t have to worry about if the cat will starve. Just set up a dispense time in the app.Don’t have to call your pet for food; it essentially Pavlov’s them with a beep indicator when food is coming out. lol – daylight savings was hard to get through when he knows it’s food time but didn’t get a beep yet. I just ended up moving the time by an hour to match his instincts. The app is finicky sometimes. But it always alerts when it’s time to refill or when to change the desiccant. Also alerts when you’re away from home if the food was dispensed. You can even set reminders for other things like changing the litter box, changing the water filter, nail clipping time, etc.The cat likes it as a stepping stool to the window lol

Esthetics: the unit comes in a few colors to choose from. The semi-transparent bin not only does it look modern, it also gives you the ability to monitor the feed at a glance, without having to open the lid or checking the app.* I do wish the base had the option of black or dark gray instead of just white.3L is actually not a bad size at all. I thought it would be too small for my cat but it had been fine.Installation: easy to install abs ready to go within minutes. Follow the instructions and it will be easy. They also have a YouTube channel with instructions in video. Make sure you wash the bowl and the gray tray itself before use.The food stays fresh due to their dual locking system.Programming: this connects to Bluetooth or wifi 2.4 so it’s nice to be able to make changes even when not at home. The app layout is a bit awkward but once you get through the setup it’s actually nice. It has many features such as the ability to add your pet’s info so that it recommends a pattern to use and give suggested feeding times abs portions personalized for your pet. The more info you enter the better the app suggestion is. I entered the breed, age, weight, and type of food. Easy to use after you get the hang of it.* the app doesn’t really like whole numbers when working in lbs. I put 8 and save the info and it would revert it to 7.9 or 8.2. Not a deal breaker but awkward.*The feeding portions are pretty accurate and I have not had any issues with this.Cleaning: easy to clean the bowl without having to take everything apart. The bowl itself is made of stainless steel which reduces bacteria. (Reduces the risk of chin black heads for hairless cats or dogs).Security: the feeding button on the unit itself was moved from the top, which now houses the locking system for the lid, to the side of the unit. You can use the app to disable that button so that your pets don’t feed themselves lol. Believe me, that was a huge issue with the mini pro. Conclusion: reasonable price, wifi enabled, reasonable app after setup, good size, many options within the app, esthetically pleasing. I would buy it again in a heart beat.
