I needed a drive that would handle all of the files that I wanted to tranfer from my old computer to my new one and it did the job.

The only problem with this SanDisk 512GB Ultra Luxe USB 3.2 Gen 1 Flash Drive is that you have to put it in ExFat format if you want it to run as fast as possible .

I use this as my Xbox 360 Storage device because I have a 4gb model. At first it would not show that it is plugged in so i had to unplug it then plug it back in which was annoying but over time it started showing when I turned on the console. A great investement for sure at half the cost of a third party Xbox 360 Hard Drive. 10/10

The molded metal formfactor means that it’s easy to add to your keychain and always have it handy; since the hole is in the metal body of the drive itself that means no tiny metal ring or plastic tab to break off. As long as you don’t loose your keys, you’re pretty much guaranteed that the flashdrive is still with them.Speed is pretty decent, with a caveat: it gets *really* slow when you have more than one copy job writing to the drive at the same time, it will take literally 10+ times longer to finish than if you copy them as two separate batches one after the other. The metal body of the drive also gets pretty hot when in use, but so far I haven’t seen any reliability issues.

Seriously, it’s fast. And it’s hot. Like “cook an egg” hot. Be careful.

Does its job very well, very fast. and it’s a very sturdy item.

Based on many of the previous reviews, I agree it gets a bit hot to the touch. Time will tell how long it’ll last. The USB connector is a little tight, but helps in my vehicles over bump roads. Speed is not a big issue. Only takes about 3 seconds to transfer a CD worth of music. Using them to store my huge, ripped CD collection to playout in my newer vehicles. Would I use these to store music as an archive device? Never! All flash drives have a finite life span. Hey! I like them because they’re made of heavy metal. Just like the music they hold.

Corners were a little tight and had some trouble connecting it to several devices. Finally forced it into a slot after an hour or so of fidgeting with it. Great speed transfers, but gets really hot up quickly. Not really an issue so far as the ,metal casing helps with heat and protects it well.I use it to store various movies and 4k videos for TV screensaver. Over 100GB of videos transferred in less than an hour.
