I purchased the Architect’s Handbook of Professional Practice to help study for the ARE’s. I wish I had purchased this sooner as the information covered is clear, concise and very reflective of the information candidates are expected to know for the exams. It is a great resource for any architect considering starting their own practice or just wanting to a broader understanding of the industry.

Great addition to all my ARE 5.0 study material

I believe every Architect’s practice should keep up with those, as a primer on the business. It is somewhat heavy on some new trends, which will likely be more useful for larger organizations.

This book is a must have for studying for the ARE architecture licensing exams and is a book that you should keep for your entire professional career in architecture.
Patty M., Florida –
This book is a must-have in an architectural office. This new edition replaces a much older and well-used version.
Jason –
The content of this book is necessary reading if you want to pass the PjM & PcM divisions. It can also serve as a cut & paste template for how to open and operate an architecture business.
Honest Frizz –
A must have for any architect, designer, or intern studying for the ARE. This is one of the main recommended study guides for the ARE and it is full of information. The price is a little steep, but it’s a resource that can be used regularly, even when you’ve passed the ARE.

The book is good, but the previous owner left the lovely photo inside. If anyone knows the person inside the photo, please contact me then I can send the photo back to them.

Reading this book is vital to passing the Architect Registration Exams. It’s a good reference to have on the shelf after registration too. But sometimes the authors get long-winded and parts of the book can safely be skipped.
