I really liked The Ultimate Activity Book for Intelligent Men because it had lots of fun puzzles and games that made me think. Some of my favorites were Sudoku, word searches, and logic games. This book is great for kids who like a challenge and want to make their brain even smarter!

Then, low and behold, I happened to stumble upon this masterpiece of wit and wisdom. The author did a great job in compiling this challenging yet fun activity book. Be forewarned that this is not for the weak of heart (I mean) brain. Be prepared for the challenge!

The title of this book indicated that perhaps this book wasn’t for me. Plus, the cover features an illustration of Albert Einstein, another sign that I might be out of my league. Nevertheless, I chose to give the book a try.The games and puzzles involve Sudoku, word searching, codes, crosswords, trivia, and logic. All are challenging, but some readers might find some trivia activities too narrow in scope and frustrating. For example, if you’ve never watched any of the Lord of the Rings and Hobbit movies, you’ll be lost trying to complete that assignment. Still, the book contains a lot of mind exercises that most will find enjoyable.

Statistics show that humans who continue to learn and/or mentally challenge themselves daily have a much higher rate of never developing Alzheimer’s disease. The brain keeps growing dendrites which allows growth, not stagnation. This keeps deterioration at bay the older we get. With this being said, this activity book is right up anyone’s ally who wants to challenge themselves daily. The puzzles, word games and trivia are very challenging and engaging. It is not made for younger generations, but rather late 20’s and older. The real trick though is to be self-disciplined. The answers are in the back, so you don’t want to spoil the challenge be prematurely seeing the answers. Recommend highly for times men use the bathroom, morning coffee, outside leisurely sitting during a crisp autumn day, visiting in-laws, or listening to your partners day at work (lol). Seriously, it is pretty cool.
