I chose the Cosori dehydrator because there were so many rave reviews, including reviews from people who said they’d had the cheaper (well…some of them are cheaper) round plastic dehydrators previously and they’d never go back to them.Count me in that group! The Cosori food dehydrator is superior in every way. So far I’ve tried dehydrating bacon and making fruit leather, and it was so much easier! The rectangular shape is much more convenient than the donut shape of most plastic dehydrators. The design seems far more efficient. The metal wire trays are easier to clean. The motor is quieter.My big success was taking homemade cranberry relish and turning it into fruit leather (well, it was closer to tuile – thin and crispy – but now I know to spread it thicker). It’s so delicious! I just pureed the cranberry relish and now I have this wonderful crispy, fruity treat! The dehydrator comes with one tray and one mesh sheet, but I’ve already bought more. There are cheaper trays and sheets out there than the Cosori brand, FYI – silicone makes peeling the fruit leather off the tray much easier.I love dried apple slices, and it’s clear to me that with the Cosori dehydrator, I’ll be able to do more of them and dry them faster, and cleanup will be much easier. I also grow blueberries in my backyard, and I’m looking forward later to drying those, as well as making lots of fruit leather, later this year.Basically, if you’re thinking about buying, or replacing, a food dehydrator: this is THE ONE.

I’ve always wanted a dehydrator. But I wanted to really save up the money to get a good one with no plastic. I thought I’d be paying a couple hundred bucks for a good quality one, but this one surprised me. As soon as I saw that it was stainless steel, I was interested. I read the reviews and it seemed like a good purchase. So on Prime Day, I took the deal and bought it. It arrived quickly, and I wont lie, I was bouncing with excitement. I had just harvested my apple tree and wanted to make apple rings. I chopped a bunch up, set the temp it recommended and turned it on for 8 hours. This thing made the most perfect apple rings! I was able to preserve my harvest and we ate these apples until December!I also tried to make jerky with it, using round roasts. It did not disappoint! It made the most delicious jerky I’ve ever had. I love jerky, but can’t seem to find any at the store with good, clean ingredients, so I just wanted to make my own. So I did. They were amazing – and I even kept the fat on some slices. Let me tell you, dehydrated jerky fat is divine! This did the job in less than 6 hours, on 165 degrees. Everyone enjoyed the jerky I made and wanted more. I was so pleased. We’ll continue using this thing until it dies because I love it so much!

Wanted mainly for making jerky and/or snacks for Ketovore/Carnivore meal planning. There is a learning curve to making jerky for sure, but you can make your own without any unwanted ingredients. Make your own marinade or just salt your meat, works. Beef stir fry strips make excellent jerky, tastes great, and less time (3-4 hours). Stainless steel trays are a big plus, easy to clean. Place the fruit roll tray in the bottom to catch any fat or moisture drippings. This dehydrator solidly built, great for limited space, not heavy, easy to lift/move around. Cosori has excellent customer service should you ever have a question or issue. They are designed in California and made in China; however, this is one brand that I would not hesitate to purchase and use. Have purchased/use two different models of their Air Fryers. Easily recommend this brand!

Super easy to use. Easy to clean. Noise is like a small fan. Gentle white noise. Directions are easy to understand. I received package with no dents. Very safety packaged with corner protectors. Just read brief directions before use. Making my first batch of cinnamon apples (Fuji). Smells wonderful. Dehydrator has more room than I expected! A+

This Cosori dehydrator is one of the best purchases I have made for saving my summer herbs and garden food. The temperature and timer controls have a low enough range for the most delicate herb and high enough for meats and jerky. One of our favorites (and most often used) is the “instant refried beans”. Oh what a time saver that has been.It is quiet enough to be in a family area without negatively impacting the conversation. We have forgotten it a few times until the timer went off. The exterior stays slightly warm but not hot. There are only a couple of liquid items that we have found worked better if we rotated the trays. The vast majority of the time it is not necessary which is real plus compared to our old stackable unit. I had heard and read several reviews prior to purchasing. I did a great deal of research because this is a big expense on a smaller budget. Of all of the dehydrators I looked at, this one was the most versatile for the money. While I would have loved the larger one, I have been pleasantly surprised at how much will fit into the six tray unit. It stays in use year round here and seems to have that staying power. I have been very pleased and I believe you will be too.
