This was an exciting, fascinating story from the first to the last with hair raising events at every turn. Her long time partner stepped over boundaries. Her heart was being torn apart as she tried to keep away from a man she was drawn to in spite of herself. Her daughter and the boyfriends daughter wee put in jeopardy because of her. The finish is just as exciting as the start. I started this early evening until late morning the next day. Thankfully I’m now retired. Everyone should read this book it’s great.

I could not put this book down. It hooked me from the first page and kept me in suspense until the very last page. I think that it would be great if A.K. Alexander wrote a series of stories involving Holly Jennings, as Iris Johansen has done with her Eve Duncan stories–that would be really exciting, and I would read every one. Holly Jennings is a strong female protagonist who can hold her own against any terror. She is on the case of a lifetime–the horrific murders of women and children by a man whom the media has nicknamed “The Family Man.” The twists and turns of the book along with a peep inside the mind of a madman kept me up way past bedtime. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes mystery, suspense, and romance.

Let me just say…..THA BOMB!!! Holly Jennings is a bad girl….meaning good! She is a detective, single,and widowed mom! This book had me from the first page and hated to see it end!!! Holly thinks of only two things in life, her job and her daughter Chole! She is trying to find a serial killer that preys on single mom and their children! Please read on how this page turner begins and ends!!! A.K. ALEXANDER is a excellent author, can’t wait to READ more from this author. “The Family Man,”is a sick, demented, psychopath that is in serious need of help and apparently his family, too! Read to see how this novel takes you on a journey of a detective that doesn’t play games,how she finds most of the answers she is looking for, how she finds herself and love….all in one!!! Action packed and full of surprises…..PLEASE READ THIS, YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!!!

I really loved this Holly Jennings Thriller. What a ride this was. Very confusing as to whom the bad guy was. It kept me on the edge if my seat. 🙂 Hopefully we will see more of Holly.

I found this to be an exciting story. Full of action, suspense, intrigue and drama throughout the story. I couldn’t put it down until I finished it.

I always read the negative reviews of a book before I decide if I should it. This book was free and there were only a few bad reviews, so i got it. I must say that this was the first book I read by this author and I completely disagree with the negative reviews.I think this book was incredible, it had me completely on the edge. The psychopath in this book was so demented that I kept thinking that people like that really do exist in real life and that their way of thinking is actually normal to them. He was unbelievably sick and twisted. The female main character was a bit whiney and at times annoying but got better after a while. The story flows real smooth and easy, it is very well written in my opinion. Yes, there are cuss words in it, so if you are one of those who take insult to that, don’t read it, to me it’s an every day thing and normal. Overall I was very impressed with the story. Very dark, twisted and evil.

Holly works her way into your heart and “The Family Man” speeds up your heart rate to record levels.The author has written the book in such a way that you become invested in the characters quickly. They are so fully developed, both the “bad” characters and the “good” characters. Their back stories are interspersed so naturally you can almost see them drawn on the page.While the moments with the killer can get gritty and graphic, the times with Holly as her new relationship grows can be serene and romantic. Then as we get more into the story and the “chase” is on your emotions will run the gambit. I challenge you to try and put this book down! You will not be able to do it! It is filled with plot twists, surprises and one unbelievably strong woman!This author has definitely found her niche.
