My previous smoke detector was almost 8 years old so I decided to go ahead and replace it with another of the same brand. I like that it has the smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector in the same unit since I have gas heat. So far so good.
PackDad –
Replaced the same model that no longer worked.

Does the job

I’ve had 2 of these in my house for a couple years now and added 2 more when I put in the Ring alarm system. I’ve never had an issue with them and I hope the batteries really do last 10 years. Easy to install and test.
Kindle Customer –
Bought a 40 year old home with yellowed and inoperable smoke detectors from ADT. The installer drilled holes in the ceiling for just a couple wire the size of a junction box. Painting the ceiling at this point was not an option but those yellowed and hideous ADT fixtures had to go so I took them down, patched the hole with a spackle patch and put this up to hide the patch until I can get around to fixing and painting the ceiling properly so now we have added protection of two smoke detectors in each room which are white!

It is thin and attractive to look at. I don’t know if it is effective. If my house burns down i will update this review
Derek ONeill –
Great product. Easy to install. Lifesaver
Exaltix –
Our original went bad – it kept beeping like the battery was bad. This is an update version of the earlier model. It fit right over the piece installed in the ceiling and works perfectly.

Easy to install. Love the long battery life.
